THE COMBINE.....
The 2nd Annual Athletic Connection & Officialplayerwatch.com combine was underway at Foothill High School in Redding, CA. This years combine showed a lot of promise, schools from all over came out to represent. The talent pool from this years combine was deeper than last year, with allot of returnees to the combine, it showed us that these young men are serious about their future.
Trey Young of OfficialPlayerwatch.com was on hand instructing athletes on drills showing them pro-style drills looking intently at the athletes.
Don Arnold of Nutrishop Athletic Connections Official Nutritionist was on hand giving the athletes great advice on nutrition and the does and don’t's of training. Don is a great source he is incredibly knowledgeable in his field.
Coach Lowery was there on hand running the combine while coaching his very deep running back class at this years combine. Three of the running backs at this years combine will be headed down to the Prestigious Nike Camp at Stanford.
We'll lets start with the schools Foothill High showed up in a big way with 4 of their athletes taking Best in camp honors
First is QB Michael Farris the kid posses a big arm great mechanics and great upside. A very Talented QB posted very good times in all the events thats shows hes a very well rounded talent.
BIG 6'2 300lbs Aaron Boals this mountain of a kid has Big time D-1 all over him, Explosive quick for a young man his size. Able to change directions very powerful at the next level he will be scary.
OL Curtis Fugette this 6'6 kids is a relative unknown recruiters better line up for this one. Showed great hands and foot work, he's also coached by a former NFL pro. Cal,Fresno State and others are looking at him very closely.
DB Marcial Lawson SPEED SPEED and More Speed Marcial ran a legit 4.47 40yd with a strained hamstring, ran back 5 kickoff returns last year, 1 shy of California state record, another high recruit.
LB Mitchell McCarthy Best LB in Combine winner set to be a good prospect had over 10 sacks last year. Has feet and hips of a DB. Look for him to have a big season and turn some heads.
Lassen High first time at the combine brought 5 kids

Tyler Park who took our Best WR award showed good route running and good hands.Decent size but has the frame to put on size.

Super STUD Darren Lee who is getting looks from a couple of PAC-10 Schools has all the tools to be a great Backer he's aggressive, smart and tenacious. He was one of the areas most feared defenders last year.
Quarterback Richard Murphy is poised to be a good prospect as well 6" 2 and only a sophomore showed great arm strength with proper mechanics I seen film on him and hes going be very legit. Remember this name.
Super Sophomore Camo Miller this youngster put up 24reps of 185lbs best of the day and was a bull in 1 on 1's. When he learns more inside hand techniques he's gonna be a force.
Drew Mcown was another D-1 sized kid looked decent in the running drills and performed well in 1 on 1's.
Red Bluff brought the big guys 1 lineman particular
Gregory Dohmen is a definite sleeper high motor guy, very physical great size. This is a guy to keep on radar, runner up for best in combine.
Enterprise High brought their big 3
QB Anthony Williams possesses a big arm with tremendous upside he will lead Enterprise again this year.
WR James Williams Twin brother to Anthony Williams he has great upside with tremendous ability. Natural talent make's things looks easy, that's the sign of a great athlete.
All everything RB Brian Coleman a great inside runner with the finesse to play at the next level. Absolutely love the way he runs very smooth and with power. To me the areas most "PURE" back
Sophomore Evan Criss from Enterprise I like this young man he's mean and he gets after it, look for him to be real good.
One more impressive looking Specimen was Sophomore Bryson Pottelier from enterprise, the 6'3 quarterback can play wide out or safety, a pure athlete.
Central Valley brought Super Stud Colton Silveria who I said last year is a guy to watch out for, the young man did it all in a impressive fashion he should be one of the biggest recruits coming out of the area in some time.
Counterpart RB Mike Boudette was very impressive he attended last year and came back this year and looked like a different kid, oh by the way he had a 37" vert.
Overall the combine went well with a lot of potential kids that I think will have tons of opportunity to play at the next level, be it D-1 to D-III. Students Athletes in the North CA. area just need to be noticed & put on the map. Next year combine we hope to triple the number of student athletes at our combine. We want the younger athletes to get use to this environment so they know how to prepare them self for this type of event and many like it.
